Creativitape Volume 3 Featuring LYO

About 4 months ago, Soundcloud accounts full of crazy tracks began to appear all named after different browsers. One named after Google Chrome stuck out as interesting to me. I followed it and waited. One day I heard a BEAUTIFUL track while going through my soundcloud and I realized the name had changed.

l y o.

l y o is a 21 year old from the coast of Italy who speaks very little english. Inspired by artists like Nujabes, Carmack, and J Louis, l y o's sound has begun to grow into something completely his own over a short period of time. 

It was only 6 months ago that l y o began to make music. Scroll through his soundcloud once and its honestly hard to believe. His sound is cohesive and very forward thinking and after talking with him about creativity and music I know he has the ability to take his sound to another level.

"i've started with boom bap, only instrumental, then i've discovered neurofunk and glitch hop that have taken me to do music like trap....but it's not trap, i mean, i'm not a genre. genres don't exist. i do music."
