Playlist and Words for the Week: 9/21-9/25
I didn't post anything last week after the playlist. Its fine tho.
ummm. Mac Miller's album came out last Friday, Travis Scotts album is out, Lana Del Reys album is out, New Ben Folds album...So much music for the fall being released, I love it.
I think we are going to review all those albums for fun. One thing to note on music reviews.... putting a number to an album is dead. Pitchfork you are so shot. I fucking hate you. If someone makes something show whatever they made respect. Fucking kid in Texas made a clock and went to jail...Thats basically what Pitchfork does...and yea that might be making light of a "political" or "civil rights" situation but i think collectively we all pointed at that situation and booed cause we recognized it as bad so, like, its fine.
Ok ok sorry. here is some music.
This is Honey Suckle by Destiny. Formally known at Princess Nokia with her popular tape "Metallic Butterfly", Destiny returns with a new name and a new sound. I love when modern artist bring back an old sound, I love when artists make a major change from one album to another, I love hearing emotion in music...I like this a lot. Shout out to Vice for promoting artist projects in the way they do. I know Raury and Migos didnt like how they were portrayed in the Vice documentary but what they do for Destiny/Princess Nokia is pretty chill.
Here is one of the 4 songs I'm listening to over and over again right now. Not even the best track on the album. So nice.
