Highly Recommended Tracks: August 24th

Wow. Frank Ocean is talented.

He released that himself too. Independent. It may have taken a long time but it really is a victory for creativity. This is not going to be a long winded review. The album is wonderful. Listen to it. Its for everybody. Frank is in a league of his own as an artist. There are only a few artists currently creating in our generation that we will speak about forever. Frank Ocean is one of them and that is pretty cool.

Tweet me your favorite Frank tracks whenever. Tweet me any remix you hear of 'Solo.'

Here is some music I highly recommend.

This is the most important track out right now. No question. Please support Mick Jenkins. Hip Hop fans constantly complaining about 'real rap' or whatever you yell about...Support the music everyones begging for.

First artist signed to Vlone's new record label? I don't have a lot of information on what a Vlone label will look like but they seem to be ASAP supported (expected). This track is really clean. Not a totally new sound sonically...really sounds similar to 070 Shake or Post Malone but excited to hear more music. This is just the first track.

Prod. by GGGGATTI don't worry about me nigga...

I have no clue who this dude is but he is fucking RAPPING on this. Flow, beat, everything. I'm here for it.  Keeping an ear on this.

The 6 song EP, "MM & HH", is the debut project from New York model and singer/songwriter Mallory Merk. Her vocal strength and visceral melodies have earned her cosigns from big names such as: Elton John, Frank Ocean, and Kanye West. This collaborative project with Herrick & Hooley features a smooth RnB background with influences of Hip-hop and Jazz. Herrick & Hooley, the three piece group from Dallas, is recognized by Tyler, the Creator, and The Internet. Intro on the new Mallory Merk EP. Girl is so interesting musically. Really has a Rihanna potential to her. She's linked to all sorts of creative people and is someone that could have a hit at any second. Please go listen to her entire soundcloud.

Where I Live

I can't stop listening to this track. Absolute SMASH. This guy tapped into something on this record. Pure vibe, pure dance around your apartment alone, a real end of summer song. Going to be listening to the rest of this guys music.

This track runs. I just found this a couple weeks ago but she seems to be an incredibly versatile artist with strong shades of missy elliot. Very House/EDM/Club vibes in terms of tempo but she is really lyrically dancing all over the 3 records she currently has out. There is 100% a space for an artist like this and I don't think that space is taken up by anyone right now.
