Thoughts and a December 1st Playlist

This weekend I sat alone. I sat in my apartment on the upper east side all weekend with both my roommates back home with their families.

Lonely yet content, I woke up at 4AM on Saturday. At 6AM I walked to the East River to check out the sunrise. The city was quiet and I was quiet and I listened to some music while I thought about what New York would be like without all the people...

This morning I woke up early and got on the train on my way to work. There was a drunk guy laying across 4 subway seats. I watched him lay there while a young guy tried to get his attention.

"Hey man, sit up."

"No."

Then I watched as the guy grabbed the drunk dude, sat him up, looked at him, and made him stand. Never a word or even a scowl from either of them as the drunk guy got off at the next stop and several old people quietly sat in the drunks bed.

Without the people... New York wouldn't be New York.

Here is some music.
